Our security measures are not only continually improved according to technological developments.

Purpose of data collection and transmission of data if relevant

We only collect personal data if you provide this to us, for instance as part of an inquiry. Data input occurs in the following areas described below:

Legal basis of processing

If we obtain consent to specific processing operations, this is based on Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. If the processing of personal data occurs for the performance of a contract, e.g. for the delivery of goods, or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. for inquiries, the legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which our company is subject, such as compliance with tax obligations, Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing. If the processing of personal data is not based on any of the preceding legal bases, then we process data in order to preserve a legitimate interest of our company (improvements in conducting business activities, such as analysis, optimization and commercial operation of our website). We always make sure that this is not opposed by any legitimate interests of the data subject which override our legitimate interests.

Contact form

The contact form allows interested parties to send inquiries directly to us electronically.

When an interested party contacts us in this way, the data provided in the form (first and last name, email address, phone number, etc.) is automatically stored. This data is stored solely for the purpose of processing the inquiry or contacting the individual concerned.

Alternatively, you can contact us via the email addresses listed on the website. In this case, all data provided by the individual will be stored. In most cases, the emails sent are delivered to the departments' general inboxes. This storage also serves the purposes mentioned above.

The data you enter will be stored by us until further notice. Mandatory legal provisions, e.g., specific retention periods, remain unaffected.

Server log files

The website provider automatically creates and saves log files in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

Browser type and browser version

Operating system used

Referrer URL

Host name of the accessing computer

Date and time of server request

IP addresses

This data will not be aggregated with other data sources.

Applications

You can submit your application by mail, by email (bewerbung@ezm-gmbh.de), or via our application form. When you apply to us, we process the information we receive from you as part of the application process, such as your cover letter, resume, and references.

Your data will initially be processed exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application process and deciding on employment. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Section 26(1) of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). If your application is successful, your personal data will become part of your personnel file.

All applications are retained by us for up to 6 months after the conclusion of the selection process and are then permanently deleted or returned to you in full. If it is clear that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired, e.g., due to an (imminent) legal dispute, deletion will take place once the data is no longer needed for the respective purpose.

Unsolicited applications are stored indefinitely and added directly to our applicant pool so that we can consider them as soon as a suitable position becomes available. You may object to this storage at any time.

Your personal data will only be collected or processed by individuals responsible for handling the application.

Online presence in social media

We have an online presence on various social networks in order to communicate with interested parties who are active on such networks and provide them with information about us.

In this process, the service provider may process user data outside the territory of the European Union. This may result in risks for users, since it can be harder for users to exercise their rights, for example.

Generally, service providers utilize user data for market research and advertising purposes. For instance, user interests derived from usage behavior can be used to activate ads both on and off such platforms that match the interests of the users. This typically involves saving cookies on user devices. Data can also be stored in usage profiles independently of the devices used (particular if the user is a member of the platform in question and is logged in).

In the following, we will inform you about the processing of your personal data conducted by us within the context of our online presences. In its ruling on June 5, 2018, the ECJ confirmed the joint responsibility of the service provider and the website operator.

The social media websites you visit offer the option of reacting to our posts, commenting on them, creating your own posts and sending us private messages with personal concerns. The data you provide in this context and which is accessible to us (e.g. username, images, interests if relevant, contact data) will exclusively be used by us for communication with customers and interested parties. Our interest lies in offering you a platform where we can show you current information and through which you can address your concerns to us and we can respond to you as quickly as possible.

We do not carry out any data processing through such sites apart from basic functions. Please note that the service provider may implement tracking tools such as cookies independently of our own use of the site.

For a detailed description of the processing involved and the options for objecting (opt-out), we refer to the provider information in the following links.

Even for information requests and to assert user rights, we hereby inform you that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers themselves. Only the providers have access to the relevant user data and are able to directly take corresponding action and provide information. If you need assistance nevertheless, you can contact us.

Duration of storage for personal data

The duration of storage for personal data is determined by the relevant statutory retention period. After the period has elapsed, the data in question will be routinely deleted as long as it is no longer necessary for contract implementation or for steps taken prior to entering into a contract.

If you send applications to EZM GmbH, please consult the information about the duration of storage in the additional Privacy Policy for applications in the Careers section.

If you send us an email via the contact form, your emails will be received at the corresponding mailboxes and will be archived there for an unspecified period of time.

Data collected by our provider in server log files is only stored temporarily.

Your data that is stored while using our online presences will be deleted when we stop operating the site, as long as we are able to do so.

Right to receive information, right to object, right to lodge a complaint, right to data portability, restriction of processing, rectification and erasure

You have the right to obtain information about the data we store concerning you and the purpose of its storage at any time. You can withdraw your consent to the storage or use of your personal data in writing at any time. In addition to withdrawal of consent, you have the right to request the rectification, restriction of processing and the blocking or erasure of your data.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority (for NRW: the State Data Protection and Freedom-of-Information Office North-Rhein Westphalia in Düsseldorf). You have the right to receive the personal data which you have provided to a controller, in a machine-readable format.

If you have questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact us directly (responsible authority: see Legal Information). For all questions and requests for information, applications or complaints, you can also contact our external data protection officer directly.
